5 Reasons To Visit Park Regis Singapore

I’ve been to Singapore 2 times prior to this visit. I’ve always stayed out of the Central Business District in Bugis or Sentosa Island.

This time, for our couple’s getaway, we wanted somewhere close to all the action. Nightlife, good food and, of course, the views of the illustrious Marina Bay Sands would be a great bonus. So, when the Park Regis Singapore invited me to stay I knew it was a perfect choice. For these 5 reasons and many more that you can find out when you stay yourself.

For a limited time only, you can book the #sginsiders Staycation Package, which provides complimentary access to the #sginsiders Heritage Food Trail, with my EXCLUSIVE 20% off discount code!

The Location

Like I said, being childfree we really wanted to be in the thick of it all. The Park Regis Singapore had been the best location I’ve stayed in Singapore. It is located across the road from Clarke Quay, a few minutes from Chinatown, a quick walk to Little India, an easy scoot to Suntec City Mall or the popular Marina Bay Sands.

It is a hub for the escooters so transferring yourself around is easy and Grab rideshare always seemed to be nearby.

There was an amazing Indian, pay-what-you-like, restaurant a few minute’s walks away or if tourist central is more your style then Clark Quay is a more expensive alternative.

There were also several mini-marts nearby for a quick snack stop on the way home… or those late-night munchies.

It’s also the perfect location for a day trip to nearby island Bintan. Bintan tour packages are a great way to make the most of a day frolicking on an Indonesian island off of Singapore!

The Food Tour

From May to October, the Park Regis offers a 3-hour #sginsiders Heritage food trail. It contained all the deliciousness of Singapore, and a little background history of multiple locations too.

Plus, street art!

You can try local delights, like the popular Singapore breakfast kaya toast. My favourite.

Or the flaky curry puff made right in the Chinatown Hawker food court.

There was also diamond shaped egg tarts. Which was not one of my favourites.

And delicious Bak Kwa. Usually pork, but they can cater for all diets and we tried the chicken. So, yum!

Did I mention the Cendol? OMG, mouth-watering.

If you book the #sginsiders Staycation Package you get complimentary access to this tour! Valued over $99 you don’t want to miss this culinary walk through Singapore’s history.

The Pool

For a city hotel, the pool area is sacred. With space in the city at a premium, they really have created an area where you can feel on vacation. Sun lounges in the water, covered basket seats, and premium towels.

Plus, a waterfall. Any pool with a waterfall makes me feel like I’m instantly transported to vacation mode.

Also, just behind the pool is the gym with the Bondi book corner offering a plethora of books to really settle in for a day by the pool.

It’s not very often you spot me in a gym on vacation, but I had made a promise to my Coaching Zone trainer to work out twice while on vacation. Good news is the gym overlooks the pool so you can finish that workout and then get straight back to paradise. Feel good and look good.

The Room

As small as some New York hotels, but completely functional. The open plan living may make some squeamish with nothing between the toilet and the bed, but a frosted door, however, the room had everything we needed.

A cute mini bar, a big soft bed and a bay window with a super comfy window seat.

The Views

Any hotel located in the city usually has the magic of sparkling lights, but our room also featured the colourful lights of Clark Quay and the distinct boat of Marina Bay Sands. With a window seat in every hotel room, it was the perfect spot to sit in at the end of a long day and look out at the bustling city. Not to mention my favourite location to watch the afternoon rain.
